Dayosonic is known for his mind boggling, engaging lyrics, challenging the listener’s IQ combined with his unforgivable bilingual fire power gatling gun flows cleverly crafted with razor sharp rhyme schemes, punchlines, and the ability to switch between English and the Nigerian Yoruba language. His lyrical dexterity coupled with a distinctive rap style infused with an occasional comedic flair makes him a multi-dimensional artist as he continuously improves his mic skills each time he performs.
Growing up in 4th Ave Festac town Lagos, Nigeria, Dayosonic was inspired by Naughty by Nature, Black Sheep, Kurupt from the Doggpound, Crooked I, Canibus, Redman, Epmd, Fela Anikulapo, Sunny Ade, Biggie, and 2pac. As the Nigerian Hip Hop scene began to rise in the early 1990s, Dayosonic performed everywhere from Festac Town’s “Heart Exclusive”, the first weekend Clapperboard Rap show on LTV 8 produced by Obi Asika, Olisa Adebua, and Jimmy Jatt on the ones and twos and Abloc as the presenter on the rooftop called Sizzlers in Akin Adesola Victoria Island.

He eventually returned back to the UK where he completed his BA (Hons) in Digital Animation with video production at Thames Valley University in London. Although he frequented Newark, New Jersey in preparation for his eventual relocation to the United States to pursue his dreams. However, due to the complexity of US immigration, he was forced to remain in the UK. He continued to hone his skills making him a versatile multi-national artist.
